Knowledge Maze is a blog for ideas in the making, thought processes and initial articulations surrounding access to knowledge. Through the Egyptian and global community of academics, researchers, techies, journalists and activists concerned with the question of access to knowledge, we present writings and conversations about the range of possibilities that render knowledge accessible as well as challenges and regimes that circumvent this access. Examples of issues include censorship, surveillance, copyrights, free and open source software and open licensing. The blog is conceived by a team of researchers from the Access to Knowledge for Development Center of the American University in Cairo.
